Designer's Notes:  The Homeowners asked us to design a small chalet for their lakefront property. Because the lot was small, we needed to create a lot of living space in a small footprint. We started by extending the loft into the chalet's open space and gained additional living space without sacrificing the open feeling that makes a chalet so unique. We also added a partial shed dormer to create space for two bedrooms and a bath on the second floor. We hope that you like the result! ~MJC
